About Dr. Michael R. Pollowitz

Dr. Michael R. Pollowitz is the senior partner of Washington Center for Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Pollowitz attended Vassar College for his undergraduate education where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree. After college, he attended the prestigious Georgetown University School of Dentistry.  He has been in practice for over 30 years and has been a member of multiple Dental Societies and Organizations of which he has held many different leadership positions.

Through is careet he has been an active member of the American Dental Association, the International Association for Dental Traumatology, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy for Sports Dentistry, Maimonides Dental society, the D.C. Dental Society, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Furthermore, Dr. Pollowitz has been a board member of the D.C. Dental Society and the Maimonides Dental Society for many years, and help run the Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting. He also serves as President of the Alpha Omega International Dental Society.

Dr. Pollowitz has participated in hundreds of court cases regarding legal dental disputes. He has experience testifying on the sides of both plaintiff and defendant. Dr. Pollowitz has testified on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to Dental Reconstruction, Crowns/Caps Bridges, Veneers, Fillings, Implants, Dental Injuries & MVA, Root Canals/Endodontics, Oral Surgery/Extractions, and Dental Board complaints. He is passionate about educating both professionals and the public on dental-related topics and has given lectures on numerous occasions. Dr. Pollowitz has been recognized as a top-rated dentist by Washingtonian Magazine, Washington Consumer Checkbook Magazine, the Consumers Research Council of America, and Castle Connolly Guide for America’s Cosmetic Doctors and Dentists over the past several years.
